He holds a BSc (Hon) Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Cape Town. He has worked at Circle Cement, (now LaFarge). He held senior positions from Transport Manager, Transport and Distribution Manager and General Manager CT.
His core responsibilities were to head and manage quarry mining, cement and aggregate production and the sales marketing and distribution opertaions from 1999 to 2004. He left Circle to pursue business interests in the mining and processing industry.
