Transvaal Africa’s agriculture division serves as the foundation for an ambitious initiative to bolster the local horticulture sector.

Transvaal’s agricultural journey

With a strategic focus on connecting horticulture farmers and farming organisations to international markets, Transvaal aims to enhance agricultural productivity and export capabilities. By leveraging advanced logistics and aggregation capabilities, this
initiative not only seeks to promote sustainable farming practices but also to elevate the quality and market reach of locally grown horticultural products. Through collaboration and innovation, Transvaal’s agriculture department aims to empower farmers and cultivate growth in the global marketplace

Transvaal Agro is the cornerstone of our vision for transforming Zimbabwe’s agricultural sector. By integrating advanced logistics and aggregation services, we connect local farmers and farming organizations with international markets. Our mission is to enhance the global reach of Zimbabwean produce, driving growth and sustainability in the horticulture and livestock industries.

Transvaal Agro strengthens production systems, standardizes output, and prepares agricultural commodities for export markets.

Amplifying global reach

The 528-hectare extension of the Robert Mugabe International Airport development will host a modern agro-processing and value addition zone designed to transform raw produce from Village Business Units (VBUs) into export-ready goods, driving rural industrialisation and economic growth. This hub will integrate processing facilities for fruits, vegetables, oil seeds, meat, and dairy, supported by cold storage, packaging, and logistics infrastructure linked directly to the airport’s cargo terminal. By connecting smallholder and commercial farmers to structured, high-value markets, the zone will reduce post-harvest losses, increase rural incomes, and stimulate job creation. Through strategic public-private partnerships, the agro-processing park will position Zimbabwe as a leading regional exporter of agro-industrial products, strengthening the national value chain and supporting sustainable, inclusive growth.

Transvaal Agro’s commitment to agricultural excellence extends to its robust initiative in produce exports. With a dedicated focus on quality assurance and efficient logistics, Transvaal strives to facilitate the seamless export of agricultural produce to international markets. By leveraging strategic partnerships and modern infrastructure, including warehousing and cold storage facilities, Transvaal ensures that locally grown produce meets global standards and reaches consumers worldwide. This initiative not only promotes economic growth but also strengthens the position of local farmers in the competitive global marketplace, underscoring Transvaal’s dedication to agricultural innovation and sustainable development.
