BUILDING INFRASTRUCTURE FOR TRADE AND LOGISTICS
The RGMI Airport Cargo Village is a major infrastructure development being advanced through a Special Purpose Vehicle between Transvaal Africa and Airports Company of Zimbabwe. Located on more than 110 hectares adjacent to Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, the project is being developed as an integrated cargo, logistics and trade platform. The development is intended to bring together infrastructure and services supporting cargo handling, warehousing, logistics, cold-chain capability, trade facilitation, value addition and associated commercial activities.
Its strategic location alongside Zimbabwe’s principal international airport provides an opportunity to strengthen the connection between local production, regional trade and international markets. The project is currently progressing through its development, planning and investment processes. Further project milestones and implementation updates will be communicated as they are formally confirmed.
CONNECTING AGRICULTURE TO MARKETS
Agriculture forms an important part of the Cargo Village vision. The planned development is intended to support the movement, aggregation, handling, value addition and export of agricultural produce through infrastructure capable of connecting producers to regional and international markets.
Through Transvaal Agro and its wider agricultural partnerships, Transvaal Africa is working to
strengthen the production-to-market chain while the Cargo Village develops the infrastructure required to support that long-term vision.
PARTNERSHIP
The RGMI Airport Cargo Village brings together Transvaal Africa and Airports Company of
Zimbabwe in the development of an integrated cargo and logistics platform at Robert Gabriel Mugabe
